Announced October 7, 2026, GPT-6 with Intelligent UI turns ChatGPT answers into interactive interfaces inside the chat, including charts, calculators, forms, diagrams and mini-apps. OpenAI’s examples include a bill splitter, a bicycle mechanics exploded view and a retirement savings calculator.

Plans and rollout: GPT-6 Sol powers Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise accounts, rolled out October 7. GPT-6 Luna powers Free and Go tiers, rolled out October 8.

US list pricing: Free $0; Go $8/month; Plus $20/month; Pro $100 or $200/month. Pricing is localized in some markets, and Enterprise pricing varies.

In OpenAI’s own internal testing—not an independent benchmark—GPT-6 Instant started answering web-search questions 44% sooner than GPT-5.6 Instant.

Available globally on web and mobile apps, for the Chat tab only. Best for anyone already using ChatGPT for everyday work, research and planning.

Announced October 1, 2026, Griffin is a full-duplex video-to-video “Human Interaction Model.” It sees and hears a caller while generating speech and moving video at the same time, so listening, watching and speaking run concurrently rather than as a speech-recognition → language-model → speech-synthesis → avatar relay.

In a vendor-run study—not an independent Turing test—26 of 54 participants (48%) judged their one-minute video-call partner to be a real person, versus 2.4% for Tavus’s previous system.

Griffin-Lite is a research preview for selected trusted testers only. Tavus has published no pricing and no release date, and says wider release will wait on safety and disclosure work.

Availability: Not generally available; current use is prospective. Best for businesses and developers tracking the future of conversational video AI.

Announced October 6, 2026, Claude for Google Workspace is now in public beta on all paid Claude plans. The Google Workspace Marketplace add-on places Claude in a sidebar inside Docs, Sheets and Slides, where it can read the open file, see selected text, cells or slides, and edit in place.

Default “Ask before edits” mode presents each change as an approval card. “Accept all edits” applies changes without stopping.

In Sheets, Claude can write formulas, build pivot tables and native charts, run Python on a range, and write results back. In Slides, it builds from the deck’s own layouts and themes, then checks for overlapping or unreadable elements.

Separate beta connectors let Claude create and edit Google files directly from a Claude conversation.

Plans and install: No separate pricing was announced; access is bundled with paid plans. Install it from Google Workspace Marketplace, or deploy it domain-wide as an administrator.

Best for teams living in Google Workspace that want AI help without switching tabs.
